Stories of our Community

We have all been battling with the SARS-CoV-2 virus for the past year and a half. Some of us more than others. COVID-19 has changed our community, country, and the world. There have been so many deaths and long-term illnesses because of the virus, yet many people are unaware of the seriousness of the illness.

Sound Wellness Alliance Network, Providence Valdez Medical Center and the City of Valdez have partnered together to bring you a series of patient stories of how this virus has impacted local people in the Valdez community.

Public health measures of social distancing, hand washing and wearing a face mask along with vaccination are proven efforts to decrease the spread and severity of illness we see from COVID-19 infections.
